Today is your last day as The Voice of CHOM.
For the last couple of years, I had put this unique radio station aside to explore other outputs. The announcement of your « retirement » has spurred a wave of nostalgia for my spouse and I.
As early I can remember listening to a radio station, it was CHOM and it was you. I learned so much about music, music history and it propelled me into a world that I cherish to this day. It even accompanied me in my formative years as a musician.
In the last year or so, many many beloved personalities, whether private or public, have left our lives. Gladly, you will be leaving on your own will and, hopefully, healthy.
As many have said this morning and for the past week, you embodied Montreal to the fullest and you gave back earnestly.
Thank you. Stay safe. Enjoy life.
